The investigation continues this week into a string of robberies and assaults in the Bay St. George area.
23-year-old Jordan Muise from Stephenville Crossing and a 17-year-old from the Bay St. George area are facing a long list of charges after the violent spree.
A person was assaulted with a weapon in a home invasion on Park Lane in Barachois Brook early Tuesday night. RCMP and the police dog descended on the area to search for two men who had fled the scene.
At around 9:45 p.m. police responded to a second home invasion – this time on Main Street in Stephenville Crossing. Police found the two suspects still inside the home, and took them into custody. One person in the home was choked, stabbed and robbed.
On Wednesday afternoon, Bay St. George RCMP received yet another report indicating a young person was assaulted and robbed in Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday. The two suspects in custody are alleged to have done that.
23-year-old Muise faces numerous charges including aggravated assault, overcoming resistance, weapons offences, robbery and uttering threats.
The 17-year-old faces similar charges. The investigation is ongoing.
