A woman who brought Christmas to the 13 children in a remote town in Labrador says it takes a village.
Stephanie Windsor is a nurse with Central Health and a coastal nurse with Labrador Grenfell Health.
She had never set foot in Black Tickle but knew there was not many resources to bring goods in.
Windsor took to Facebook asking people to donate toys for the kids and within 30 minutes she had to cut it off. She says the generosity of people blows her mind.
In a place like Black Tickle, she says it is important to remember the things we take for granted every day.
She says it was not until she seen the children that she realized that they are resilient . It is a community with no boat, they go five or six weeks without mail, they have no milk or eggs in their stores and they sometimes run out or fuel and gas.
