The spirit of giving was in the air yesterday as Paramedics in St. John’s and Clarenville hosted their annual Pack the Back Christmas drive.

Workers were on hand outside of local Walmarts taking donations of clothes, food and toys in hopes of filling up the back of an ambulance.

One of the drop off locations was outside of the Wal-Mart on Kelsey Drive in St. John’s.

A pile of toys including dolls, toy trucks and action figures filled the floor of the vehicle, and clothing donations could be seen hanging from the ceiling.

All donations will be given to the Salvation Army for distribution to families over the holidays.
