The climate strike held earlier this week in the capital city will be the last one for a few months.
On Friday, several hundred protesters braved the cold and marched from the MUN Clock tower to Confederation Building to demand action on climate issues.
In a post to the Fridays for Future St. John’s Facebook page the group says they will be holding some indoor events over the winter, but the next march won’t be until the spring.
Greta Thunberg , who started the Fridays for Future movement, was recently named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year for dedication to climate issues and for inspiring hundreds of similar protests around the world.
