Meanwhile, the towns of Conception Bay South and Paradise have pitched in to help their local food bank. They purchased $5,000 worth of turkeys so that no resident would be without one this Christmas.
Paradise put up $2,000, CBS $1000, and the remainder came from 50/50 tickets at the Boost National curling tournament in Kelligrews.
