The official Opposition says this week’s Auditor General’s report exposes what the Tories says is a “crisis of confidence” in the governing Liberal party.

AG Julia Mullaley found there is considerable risk around returning to surplus by 2022-23 as the debt and deficit continue to grow.

Leader Ches Crosbie says from public finances to the economy to taxation to government management, every indicator is “going in the wrong direction.”

That’s keeping consumers from spending, businesses from hiring and and people from staying in the province according to Crosbie.

Crosbie says the province is in desperate need of new leadership and a “real plan” to inspire confidence and hope.
