The island portion of the province can expect to see some snow over the next few days.
Environment Canada meteorologist, Rodney Barney says the western and northern parts of the island will see the most at 10 to 15 cm throughout the day.
Central can expect 5 to 10 cm beginning in the afternoon and it will continue into the night. The Avalon will see some snow early Friday night amounting to 4 to 6 cm by Saturday morning.
Barney says the snow will be accompanied by northerly winds up to 70 km/h in coastal areas.
Barney says temperatures will be mild throughout the day at about 0 or 1 degree in most areas. He says temperatures will drop below freezing again on Saturday.
