A 46-year-old man has died while diving in the waters off of Bareneed, near Bay Roberts.
Police say they received the call shortly before 2:30 this afternoon.
The man was diving in the water with another man when he became unconscious. He was pulled from the water and later died at the scene.
Both of the men are said to be experienced divers.
An investigation into the man’s death is ongoing, and the office of the chief medical examiner has been notified.
