One person was taken to hospital following a collision in the east end of the city last evening.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Prince Philip Drive and Portugal Cove Road at about 7:30 after two cars collided, ‘causing significant damage to both. The female passenger of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
Traffic was slowed for some time as crews worked, and while the damaged vehicles were removed.
The collision was one of a few yesterday to which emergency crews had to respond.
