The St. John’s Fire Fighters Association states the smoke from the fire at Hotel Mount Pearl is highly dangerous and should be avoided if possible.
They are asking residents of St. John’s and Mount Pearl to shut down their air exchange units if they can smell any smoke.
They also caution people to avoid the area to further prevent any smoke from being inhaled.
🔥RESIDENTS OF MT PEARL ST.JOHN'S 🔥 Please consider shutting down your air exchange units if you are getting the smell of smoke in your home. What's burning into the air is highly dangerous. Avoid breathing it in if you can. @CityofStJohns @Mount_Pearl
