The degree to which students are effectively integrated into the school system is directly related to the appropriate resources available.
That’s according to Teachers Union President Dean Ingram.
The recent Premier’s Task Force on Educational Outcomes found that the current integration model is not working.
Ingram says improvements still need to be made.
He says student assistant allocations are not where they need to be. In talking to members, he’s been told the “forced” integration of students who require student support services isn’t working due to a lack of resources.
