Dawson Mercer and Team Canada found their way back into the win column with a 4-1 over Germany this morning.
Canada was able to bounce back after suffering their worst-ever loss at the World Junior Hockey Championships when they lost 6-0 to Russia on Saturday.
Canada grabbed an early lead in Monday’s game and didn’t look back.
Dawson Mercer of Bay Roberts got more ice time than previous after moving up onto the team’s second line. He started the tournament as Canada’s thirteenth forward.
Mercer and Team Canada will be back in action for their final preliminary round game on Tuesday against the host Czech Republic at 2:30 p.m. local time.
