Parliament should be doing more to work towards a universal pharmacare program.
That’s the contention of NDP MP Jack Harris, whose party has long championed pharmacare to help Canadians with the cost of prescription medication.
The tricky part, according to some, is figuring out how it would be implemented. Harris says plenty of work has already been done, and there has to be a will to get it done.
He says the Liberals need to be working with the NDP in putting together a universal pharmacare program.
