A well-rounded athlete from this province has been named the Special Olympics Canada Athlete of the Month.
31-year-old Andrew Hynes of Mount Pearl is December’s Athlete of the Month.
Hynes is a soccer and floor hockey player and has been involved with Special Olympics for more than 20 years.
He has been deemed the cornerstone of his soccer team, being 100 per cent invested and always looking to improve.
