Manager of Hogans Take out and grocery store, Bev Delaney, has announced plans to completely rebuild the building that was leveled by fire on Christmas Eve.
Delaney says it is welcome news for over a dozen people who worked out of the location that also housed a pub and the post office for Northern Bay residents.
The fire broke out in the early hours of Christmas Eve and the building was fully engulfed with flames when first responders arrived on the scene.
Delaney says there is still no official word on the cause of the fire but she indicates that it doesn’t appear to be suspicious at this point.
Owners Andrew and Patsy Delaney hope to begin putting the prominent business back on the map as soon as possible and may even have the building in place by the summer months.
Many to social media to express their dismay as the extent of the damage became known last week. The restaurant was a well-known destination for tourists visiting the shores of Northern Bay Sands.
