Bay St. George RCMP are continuing to crack down on drinking and driving over the holidays by taking two more drivers off the roads.
At around 3:20 a.m. on December 21, police stopped a vehicle on Romains Road in Port au Port East.
The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Stephenville took the breathalyzer, which found she was above the provincial limit for alcohol, but below criminal legislation. She was also issued a ticket for having open liquor in the vehicle.
Then, just before 3 a.m. on December 28, Bay St. George RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver.
Police stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Stephenville where a 46-year-old man from Stephenville Crossing was given a road side breath test.
He was also above the provincial limit, but below criminal legislation and was issued a ticket for having open liquor in the vehicle.
Police suspended his license and seized and impounded his vehicle.
