The province’s justice minister couldn’t say much surrounding the investigation into yet another death at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary, but says they are always taken seriously.
The death of 33-year-old inmate Jonathan Henoche has been ruled a homicide by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, but the RNC has yet to lay any charges.
Andrew Parsons says a police investigation is ongoing, and he doesn’t want to do or say anything to jeopardize it.
He says these investigations are always taken seriously, and in this case he believes they’ve shown that.
Parsons says it’s in the very capable hands of the police and they will deal with it as it goes forward in a timely fashion. Right now, Parsons says it’s out of their hands and being investigated.
