Team Canada played a dominant game, taking a 5-0 win over Finland in today’s semifinal game at the World Junior Hockey Championships.
The Canadians set themselves up early, scoring 3 goals within the first four minutes of the first period and burying one more before the second period.
Earlier in the day, Russia topped Sweden 5-4 with one minute and 36 seconds remaining in overtime to reach the final of the World Junior Hockey Championships as well.
That means Dawson Mercer and Team Canada will be heading to the gold medal game tomorrow against Russia at 2:30 p.m. Newfoundland time.
