Parts of the island are getting a nice dumping of snow over the next few days.
A winter storm warning is now in effect for the Avalon, Burin and Bonavista Peninsulas, as well as the Clarenville area.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jody Boyd says the snow will start over southeastern Newfoundland tomorrow afternoon, with significant accumulations possible.
The Clarenville and Bonavista areas will see around 20 cm, while the Avalon area will see above 30 cm.
Boyd says the winds will also be a factor, creating blowing snow and low visibility into Monday morning. Everything is expected to taper off by lunchtime.
