The RNC have made an arrest in relation to a break and enter that attracted a great deal of public attention over the last few days.
Local journalist Drew Brown took his case public after he says the RNC mishandled the investigation after his home was broken into on New Year’s day.
Several items were stolen, and Brown and his wife say they tracked down the culprit themselves. However, the couple was told that because the case had been mishandled by police nothing could be done.
Brown went on to give heavy criticism of the RNC in the aftermath, saying the police system in this province needs to be reworked with more civilian oversight.
Then, at around 10:30 Friday, police say they arrested a 30-year-old man in the case.
He has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking property obtained by crime and breaches of court orders.
He was held for court.
