A 32-year-old Ontario man was arrested for impaired driving after he was pulled over by police in Holyrood on Monday.

RCMP say the man provided breath samples that were more than three times the legal limit. When police stopped the vehicle, they found open alcohol inside.

The driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded.

The accused was released to appear in court in March.

Meanwhile a 51-year-old Bell Island woman was arrested for drug impaired driving after being pulled over January 2.

Charges are expected as the investigation continues. The woman’s licence was suspended and her vehicle impounded.
