A would-be car thief was caught in the act by police yesterday afternoon in St. John’s.
RNC officers responded to the area of Merrymeeting Road just after 4:00 to reports that someone was attempting to steal a vehicle.
Officers arrived and arrested a 22-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle and breaching a court order. He was held in custody.
