Shoveling out after a snowstorm can prompt a plethora of emotions, but a viral video from Clarenville is being praised for embodying the struggle of staying motivated.

Samantha Burke-Balsom posted a clip of her 14-month-old son, Rory, helping his father shovel some of the snow after this week’s storm.

He loses balance, keeling over forward and flopping down on the pom-pom of his winter hat. He pauses in that position until his father picks him back up and promptly returns to action.

Burke-Balsom left the caption, “…the struggle is real.”

The video of little Rory has received much adoration from folks across the province, who empathize with the situation.

Since it was posted on Monday, that video has received millions of views across various social media platforms, including over 11,000 comments and 43,000 shares on Facebook alone.
