A pub in the city’s downtown is looking after cab drivers this month with a free mug up.
The Newfoundland Embassy Pub and Eatery says they want to give back to the taxi community by offering them a free coffee or tea for the month of January.
Co-owner of the Embassy, Niall Hickey, says the men and women who drive the taxis provide essential service to people in the community and bar owners like them. He says they wanted to make a small and meaningful contribution.
Hickey and his brother, Brendan, want the drivers to feel welcome and come take a seat to relax especially after a busy season and a tough year.
