A 63-year-old man allegedly struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in St. John’s earlier this month has died due to complications from his injuries.
According to the RNC, first responders were called to Elizabeth Avenue near Memorial University shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 4th.
Upon arriving, officers spoke with a 63-year-old man who was reportedly struck by a vehicle as he crossed the road. At the time it was believed his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and was identified by RNC.
However, on Thursday, the RNC was informed that the victim of the crash had passed away due to complications from his injuries. They are now investigating the matter as a fatal collision.
