A 33-year-old man is in trouble with the law after falling asleep and almost starting a fire last night.
Police and fire crews responded to a possible structure fire in the east end of St. John’s at around 11:00 p.m.
When they arrived at the apartment building, they found a pot burning on the stove and a sleeping drunk man.
RNC say the man was on court conditions not to drink.
He was arrested and charged with breaching court orders and was held overnight to appear in court today.
