Heather Jacobs has been appointed as the new chair of the interim board of directors of the province’s new Oil and Gas Corporation.
Jacobs is a former deputy minister of justice.
The new corporation officially began operations on January 1st.
The interim board is made up of members representing a range of skills including finance, engineering, geoscience, business and legal.
The interim board and chair will be in place until a permanent board is selected through the Independent Appointments Commission.
