Despite the barrage of wind and snow, folks are maintaining their sense of humour in the storm.
People often joke about having a supply of “storm chips” on hand when the weather turns sour, prompting some to take advantage of the situation.
A number of humorous posts have started to show up on local online buy and sell pages, offering up bags of chips at inflated prices.
One bag of ketchup chips is being offered for $30 while in another post a container of cheese balls is being offered for $20.

Meanwhile, staff who are working at the Health Sciences Centre say they are ready for the storm with their storm chips and snacks.
Despite some lingering debate over what this storm should be dubbed, Stuart MacGillivray on Twitter coined the term “storm chipageddon,” to describe the derth of chips after final predictions of snowfall totals came down throughout the week.
More like storm chipageddon! The chip aisle at wal mart, Stavanger. Crowds weren't bad at all, actually, and most other shelves are fully stocked. #nlwx #stormchips pic.twitter.com/wv38KbWr1b

Some may insist this weather gone to the dogs, but others would disagree. That includes Hasan Hai’s dog, Lucy, who took a prompt 180° turn back into the house after testing the conditions earlier today.
