It is now believed that the missing 26-year-old Joshua Wall made it out of the wooded area where he was walking on Friday.
Police say their main focus is finding Wall alive.
Residents in the area are being asked to search their properties, vehicles, sheds and other outdoor buildings. RCMP say it is possible that Wall may have sought shelter in the town.

Wall left his home on Roaches Line in the afternoon on Friday to walk through the woods to his friends house in Marysvale.
The search continues by Bay Roberts RCMP, Avalon North Wolverines Search and Rescue and a helicopter from 9 Wing Gander.
RCMP Dog Services are also on scene. The search will continue until dark.
