One couple from Harbour Grace proved love triumphs over all, even major snowstorms.
Chris and Brianne Butt weren’t going to let the massive snowfall put a stop to their wedding. So, after digging themselves out, they went ahead with their plans to get married.
Of course, some complications arose. The church was damaged, so they had to get married in the basement of the parish. The stylist, photographer and many of the people invited to the wedding couldn’t make it.
However, 40 people did, and the couple says that was amazing. Family members who couldn’t witness the marriage were able to watch via Facebook live.
Chris Butt says they ordered pizza, had a couple of drinks and headed home to begin shoveling. They finally finished all their shoveling Sunday night.
Butt says it goes to show you can do anything if you’re determined enough.
The couple will still hold a reception this weekend, to celebrate with those who could not make it to the wedding.
