Some oil companies will be able to help people who run out of oil. Oil trucks are not permitted on city streets so some companies will dispatch a service van. The last time oil trucks were out was Thursday as they have been prohibited them from doing deliveries on city streets.
Instead, they concentrated on clearing the backlog in outlying municipalities.
Chris Forward of Harvey’s Oil, who is also the president of the Canadian Oil Heat Association., says Harvey’s will help people who have run out. Keep in mind, this is not regular delivery as the trucks are not permitted on city streets.
They don’t want anybody’s home to freeze up so they will deliver 40-50 litres in jerry cans to get them through.
