An investigation is underway into a recent workplace fatality at an oil site in Alberta.
Officials in that province confirmed earlier this week that a contract worker at Syncrude’s Aurora site north of Fort McMurray was fatally injured on Sunday night.
The company is working with RCMP and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety in their investigation.
The cause of death has not been released, according to media reports out of Alberta.
