A Coast Guard helicopter with three Parks Canada staff on board conducted a visual assessment of the two historic sites which remain closed to the public after last week’s blizzard.
Staff were most interested in assessing the potential for snow slides in the area of the North Head Trail.
Both sites remain closed to the public until further notice, as any activity, including hiking and snowshoeing remains a significant risk.
What’s that helicopter doing flying super low over Signal Hill and the harbour? #nlwx #nltraffic pic.twitter.com/xcDM5w2Gc3
