RCMP recently removed three separate vehicles off the road on the province’s west coast for a variety of traffic violations.
A pickup truck was pulled over last Tuesday after being observed driving at speeds of up to 155 km/h in the area of St. Jude’s. The driver, a 27-year-old man from Pasadena was charged with possession of cannabis that was not properly sealed, he was ticketed for speeding, his licence was suspended and his truck was seized and impounded.
A 17-year-old Pasadena man was ticketed for speeding after police noticed a car driving at up to 156 km/h near Little Rapids on Sunday. His vehicle was also seized and impounded and his licence was suspended.
Finally, a 19-year-old Deer Lake man was ticketed for driving without insurance after he was caught speeding on Route 430 near George Aaron Drive in Deer Lake on Monday morning. His vehicle was also seized and impounded.
