RNC are investigating an armed bank robbery yesterday afternoon in a busy shopping district in St. John’s.
Police were called Wednesday afternoon around 4 p.m. after a man entered the CIBC on Hamlyn Road, and presented a firearm to a teller and demanded cash.
The man fled the area with a quantity of cash in a bag, but could not be located by police.
There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as tall and slim and in his late 20s or early 30s. He had a bandanna covering his face, and was wearing a black hoodie and grey pants.
