A woman is facing five fraud-related charges following an investigation into financial irregularities at the youth centre in Baie Verte.
40-year-old Amy Ivany, a former coordinator of the Advocate Youth Services Cooperative, is accused of stealing approximately $90,000 in funds from the group.
RCMP say the offenses are alleged to have happened between February, 2018 and January, 2019.
The youth centre was forced to close for a period of time due to financial hardship, according to police.
Ivany has been charged with fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000, forgery, uttering a forged document, and possession of stolen property.
She’s scheduled to appear in court on March 3.
