Just two weeks after an unprecedented snow storm clogged capital city streets leading to an eight day State of Emergency, another storm has created a headache – this time in the form of rain.
Much of the metro region is like a skating rink this morning.
Most woke up to blizzard conditions on Sunday morning with howling winds and heavy snowfall. However, those conditions only lasted for so long before switching over to heavy rain later in the evening.

Gander recorded about 19 centimeters, while both Deer Lake and Stephenville had 11 cm.
The heavy rain led to many main roadways flooding in the metro region, and forcing closures like on Topsail Road and a section of Allandale Road.
