Beer and popcorn don’t mix according to the majority of respondents to the VOCM News Question of the Day.
St. John’s City Council voted overwhelmingly yesterday to allow Cineplex to establish a lounge at its movie theatres at the Avalon Mall. Hard liquor won’t be offered, but beer and wine will. Patrons taking in a movie will also be able to have a brew.

Nearly 70 per cent of those answering the question are against the idea while almost 30 per cent agree with it. As of 11:30 a.m., over 4,400 people had voted.
