A St. John’s small businessman is picking up the pieces after a thief struck his shop on Blackmarsh Road overnight.
John Gillingham of Bricks and Minifigs says someone with a two-headed axe broke through his front window and rummaged through the store.
It looks like they were looking for cash, says Gillingham, and when they couldn’t find any, they grabbed some Lego sets and “made a run for it.”
It’s a tough time of year to be hit, according to Gillingham. He has to absorb the loss and pay for the damages.
