There’s a snowfall warning for Wednesday as parts of the island are already cleaning up from an overnight snowfall that’s left roads slick in many areas.
Allison Sheppard at the Gander weather office says 6 cm fell at St. John’s Airport, but that system is already on its way out.
However, she says Wednesday is another story.
Snow starts overnight tonight at around 5:00 a.m. and continues through Wednesday, with 15 cm of snow and snow pellets and blowing snow with 70 km winds in the afternoon before it’s all done.
And that’s not all. Another snow system is coming in Thursday night, but Sheppard says at the moment that one isn’t at weather warning levels.
