Power has since been restored after almost 6.000 thousand people were without power this morning according to Newfoundland Power’s website.
Whitbourne, Conception Bay North, Cape Shore and vicinity reported over 5,800, while the St. John’s Metro area has only 60 outages.
Equipment problems are to blame for the power going out.
