The RNC say latest statistics on the number of vehicle collisions under their jurisdiction in 2019 show the number is way down over the year before.
RNC Constable James Cadigan says the number dropped by 395 between 2018 and 2019.
He credits greater driver awareness with the drop in numbers.
He says the community has the ability to work together, in addition to co-operation with municipalities as well as traffic enforcement.
Cadigan says distracted driving remains among the main causes of traffic accidents.
