Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie is calling for the resignation of Nalcor Chair Brendan Paddick for “violating the Conflict of Interest Act.”
Paddick came out publicly this week, endorsing Dr. Andrew Furey for the Liberal leadership in a tweet.
Crosbie accused Paddick of “Liberal Party entitlement mentality.” He says by endorsing a candidate to be premier, Paddick has compromised his duty to be a voice for Nalcor on the eve of the release of the Muskrat Falls Inquiry report.
Crosbie is asking for Paddick to resign.
Meanwhile, Liberal leadership rival John Abbott agrees. He is calling on Paddick to remove himself as Chair of Nalcor’s Board of Directors.
Paddick and Furey, along with Alan Doyle, are the founders of the A Dollar A Day Foundation.
