A national campaign chapter in the province is thriving to offer safe spaces for women and to teach them about taking care of their mental health.
The I Love Me Campaign is run by an executive committee of 15 women, all from different backgrounds but with one main focus.
The campaign offers coping techniques to practice self love and care.
Volunteer recruitment representative, Jane Cooze, says one of their main goals is to create safe spaces for women and to allow them to offer their opinions without judgement.
She says there are several issues women face.
Cooze says the campaign hears stories of women being overshadowed in their everyday lives so they want to be able to create a safe space so that women’s voices can be heard and accepted.
