In a world where social media is important for small business, women can be intimidated to stand out and create their personal brand.
Owner of Yellow Rose and community volunteer, Anna Murphy, believes that creating a brand is important and she always suggests that women take photos to help advertise shop local.
But sometimes women can feel nervous about putting themselves out there online.
She says being confident and passionate in oneself is the best way to create more “boss babes” and she is all about that.
Murphy has an active online presence and says the advice she gives women for feeling more comfortable is simple.
She says the whole “fake it till you make it” really works and the more comfortable women get with looking at themselves in the mirror is something that really helps people grow.
I am working on a series of stories for International Women’s Day tomorrow for @VOCMNEWS highlighting what our local female business owners, volunteers and other professionals are doing in our communities.
