Liberal Leadership candidate John Abbott is calling for the release of names of all donors and amounts of contributions over $100 to the leadership campaign.
In a release issued today, Abbott says he is committed to full transparency and future governing.
He says in the absence of Liberal Party election rules governing donations, his campaign will abide by the provincial Elections Act for the release of donor information.
Abbott believes that level of disclosure will help to restore trust in the Liberal Party and government.
Andrew Furey has also committed to releases the names of donors and contribution amounts when the election is over.
