The effects of the steep drop in oil prices are expected to be felt on fuel prices locally this week.
That’s according to George Murphy of the Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices, who predicts price drops right across the board.
According to Murphy, diesel and heating and stove oils will drop by 4.6 cents each while gas prices will go down by 3.5 cents.
Murphy continues that he is already predicting further drops next week. He adds that we haven’t “hit bottom” in the province yet and that there is still plenty of room for retailers to drop their prices below the regulated maximum.
