It turns out the individual infected with COVID-19 at the mining conference in Toronto was not infected at the time of the convention.
Eight employees of the Department of Natural Resources attended the world’s largest mining conference in early March and were in self-isolation as a precautionary measure.
A person from Ontario who attended the conference has tested positive for COVID-19.
In an email sent out to the convention’s participants, the organizers recommend that the people who attended still watch for signs and symptoms since it is possible the person could have acquired the infection in the area.
