A quick system is passing through the province this morning.
A snow event started in Labrador on Friday bringing storm warnings and closing the Trans Labrador Highway between Cartwright Junction and Port Hope Simpson. The road remains closed.
As the weather makes it way to the Avalon, Meterologist David Neal says it brings high winds and precipitation.
The Avalon can expect ice pellets and freezing rain into Saturday afternoon with winds gusting up to 100 km/h.
He says as the storm moves out to sea, the island will get a little break but then a little band of snow will move across the Northern Peninsula, Northeastern area and the Avalon Peninsula on Sunday.
