Ottawa has closed Canadian borders to all non-Canadian citizens with some notable exceptions.
That includes diplomats, relatives of Canadian citizens and Americans.
But that may change says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Prime Minister fielded a flurry of questions from reporters in Ottawa yesterday on why the directive does not include Americans for the time being.
He says it recognizes the level of integration of the two economies, putting the US in a separate category from the rest of the world. He says more work will be done in the coming days to ensure that Canadians are kept safe and the flow of necessary goods and equipment is maintained.
